We were in Udine – that’s in Italy, up in the shaft of the boot. If anyone is interested, here is a wikipedia link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Udine. Anyway, there was this wool shop and these nice ladies working there and this charming “hand-foot-gesture-crumb-Italian-communication” was just so good that I had to go straight out and get wool for a project I had picked out on ravelry the night before. On the day of departure, I had to get some wool for a baby blanket, I don’t know which baby it should be for, but maybe it will come up with someone else.
Month: May 2022
And again a Loopi, but this time a traditional one. That means I got the instructions from an Icelandic site and it is knitted from the bottom up and not from the top down like the one I posted yesterday. This one should be manageable because it’s supposed to be for a six year old. I want to hand it over in not quite a month, so maybe I can do it.
When I was in Denmark with a person I really like, of course I had to take a project home with me. Since I always wanted to go to Iceland – but Denmark is not Iceland, but at least Scandinavian – I got this loopi pattern in a very very very nice wool shop. And now I only have to knit right stitches and I’m in a knitting crisis.
I thought here “I’ll start with the sleeves, because that’s always so annoying when the jumper or top is already finished”. Hmmm yes.
Every month I write the days of the week and the month in a different language in my journal. This month I also wrote the heading for recording my period in a different language. Dni krwawienia is Polish and should roughly mean “bleeding days – in my opinion it means also: days of horror/pain.”
Co miesiąc zapisuję w swoim dzienniku dni tygodnia i miesiąca w innym języku. W tym miesiącu napisałem też rubrykę dotyczącą zapisywania mojego okresu w innym języku. Dni krwawienia to po polsku “dni grozy/boleści”.
