Another crooked sketchbook joins the collection

Today I tried my hand at bookbinding again. Since I don’t have a press, I wanted to bind this little sketchbook without having to glue anything.
Coptic binding would be a solution, but the individual sections are too far apart when I want to work with colour in the book. The cover is made of paper leather, which I discovered the other day while shopping in the art supply shop. It’s all a bit crooked and lopsided, but without a hatchet or something similar, it’s more of a sketchbook with character.

Addendum:
if I don’t glue it, the gaps are relatively big, I think I’ll leave it as it is anyway. Maybe I’ll adapt the drawings to the book 😀

a white

Do you know Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children? These “whites” that appear there, I had – I think – imagined them something like this. And even before I read the book! Crazy, isn’t it?
